.insp files, or raw .jpg photos with two round lens images, from Insta360 X2, X3, X4 and ONE X cameras. Select as many as you like.
Choose filesWhat is an INSP file?
INSP is the photo format Insta360 cameras save to the memory card. Inside is a regular JPEG, but one that holds the raw image from both lenses: two round fisheye pictures side by side, plus some camera data at the end of the file.
Until those two circles are stitched into one panorama, nothing treats the file as a 360° photo. Rename it to .jpg and you just see the two circles. Upload it to a virtual tour and the room comes out warped and doubled.
Why Insta360 photos need stitching first
Tour software, Facebook, Google Maps and real estate portals all expect an equirectangular panorama: one flat image, twice as wide as it is tall, that wraps all the way around. Stitching is the step that turns the two fisheye images into that.
Normally you do it in the Insta360 app or in Insta360 Studio on a computer. This tool does the same job in your browser, so you go straight from the memory card to finished 360° JPGs, whether it's one photo or fifty.
How to convert INSP to JPG
It works on a computer or a phone and takes a few seconds per photo.
- Copy the photos off your camera. Take the .insp files from the memory card, or save them from the Insta360 app.
- Drop them here. Select one photo or the whole shoot. Everything stays on your device.
- Let it stitch. Each photo is stitched at full resolution, with the two lenses lined up and blended at the seams.
- Download your 360° JPGs. Save them one by one or all together as a ZIP, ready for your tour, website or social media.
How good is the stitch?
The tool lines up the two lenses row by row, so walls, floors and furniture meet cleanly where the halves join, and it evens out the exposure of both lenses so there's no visible line. When the file carries your camera's own lens calibration, it uses that.
Things very close to the camera, like a sink or a door frame less than half a meter away, can still show a slight double edge at the seam. That's parallax, and every dual-lens camera has it. Keep the camera at least a meter from walls and furniture for the cleanest result.
Where to use your 360° photos
The JPGs work anywhere a 360° photo does: Facebook 360 posts, Google Maps, virtual tour software and the real estate portals that accept panoramas.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert INSP to JPG?
Drop your .insp files on this page. Each one is stitched into a 360° panorama and saved as a JPG you can download, one by one or as a ZIP. No signup, no software to install.
Can I just rename .insp to .jpg?
Renaming makes the file open, but you only see the two round fisheye images side by side. It isn't a 360° photo until the two lenses are stitched together, which is what this tool does.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The stitching happens in your browser, on your own device, so your photos never leave it.
Which Insta360 cameras does it work with?
Dual-lens Insta360 cameras that save .insp photos, like the X2, X3, X4 and ONE X series. It also accepts raw dual-fisheye .jpg files from those cameras.
Does it keep full resolution?
Yes, up to 8K (8192 × 4096), the size most tour platforms and viewers accept. Larger photos are saved at 8K. Some phones can't handle images that big, and the page tells you if a photo was saved smaller.
What if a photo is already stitched?
The tool spots photos that are already 360° panoramas and leaves them untouched, so you can drop a mixed batch without sorting it first.
