New: Three Ways to Get a Real Estate Floor Plan | Pedra

Pedra now creates floor plans three ways: from a hand-drawn sketch or photo, ordered from a virtual tour you already made, or drawn yourself in the editor. No measuring, no design software.

TL;DR

Getting a floor plan used to mean measuring the whole property yourself and then fighting with design software. Pedra now gives you three routes instead: upload a sketch or photo and get it converted in about 30 seconds, order one from a virtual tour you have already created for €19 + VAT, or draw it yourself in the editor. All three export to PNG, JPEG or PDF with your branding.

A good floor plan sells, but getting one is the problem

When you list a property, a floor plan is what makes a buyer actually understand the layout — how the rooms connect, where the light comes from, whether their furniture fits. Listings without one look less professional, and that costs you trust with both the buyer and the owner.

The catch has always been how you get one. Either you hire someone, or you measure every room yourself and then transfer it into software that was not built for estate agents. Both are slow, and one of them is expensive.

Option 1: from a sketch or a photo

Draw the layout roughly on paper — the kind of sketch you would scribble during a viewing — take a photo of it, and upload it.

  1. Open the property in Pedra and go to Floor Plan.
  2. Click New Floor Plan, then From a sketch or photo.
  3. Pick your sketch and hit Convert.

Pedra reads the drawing in about 30 seconds and returns a professional, editable plan with estimated measurements. If there were no dimensions on your sketch, it estimates them.

Because it is AI, it occasionally misreads a wall. There is a full walkthrough in how to make a floor plan from a sketch. Click Open in Editor and you see your original sketch alongside the result, so you can drag the walls to match, add the doors, and adjust each room. Then download as PNG, JPEG or PDF — with the measurements shown, or hidden for a cleaner presentation.

Option 2: from a virtual tour you already made

If you have already created a 360° virtual tour of the property in Pedra, the floor plan can come straight out of it. You measured nothing and you do not go back to the property.

  1. Go to the Floor Plan section.
  2. Click Add Floor Plan, then From Your Virtual Tour.
  3. Confirm the order.

It costs from €19 plus VAT and arrives in two to three business days, waiting in your account, ready to download and share with your branding. Placing the order takes about thirty seconds — we do the rest.

This pairs with extracting listing photos from the same tour: one capture session at the property, and you walk away with the tour, the photos, the video and the floor plan.

Option 3: draw it yourself

If you would rather build it directly, the editor is made for people who are not designers. Add rooms and drag their dimensions, merge rooms together, drop in doors and choose which way they open, add windows and furniture. When you do not know a measurement, you can force it so the plan still comes out square.

A simple layout takes a few minutes. Download it in whatever format your portal asks for.

Why this matters

  • No second visit. From a tour, the plan comes out of a capture you have already done.
  • No measuring marathon. A sketch on paper is enough to start.
  • No design software. Everything happens in Pedra, in the browser.
  • One property, one place. Plan, photos, tour and video all live in the same listing.

Try it

Open a property in Pedra, go to Floor Plan, and pick whichever of the three fits the listing in front of you.
