How to Make a Before-and-After Home Staging Video for Real Estate

What you need

All you need is Pedra and the original listing photos of the property. You'll use two tools: AI virtual home staging to create the furnished "after" version of a room, and Pedra's real estate video creator to assemble everything into a finished ad.

Step 1: Upload your property photos to Pedra

Log into Pedra and open an existing property project or create a new one. Then select the option to upload photos and add the images of your property.

Ideally, include all the important shots — the living room, dining room, bedrooms, terrace, and exterior photos if relevant — and decide in advance which room you want to use for the before-and-after transformation. In this case, we'll use an empty bedroom.

Step 2: Furnish the empty room with AI

Go to Edit with AI and select Furnish.

Choose between medium or high creativity. We recommend medium creativity, because it preserves the structure of the room while only changing the furniture that's added to the image.

Next, select the room type (a bedroom) and a style — Pedra offers options like Scandinavian, minimalist, modern, and luxury, and you can even upload reference images for almost any look. We'll use Scandinavian. Finally, set furniture placement to automatic so Pedra decides where everything goes, and click Generate Photo.

In a few seconds you'll have the furnished version of the room. Step 3: Turn your photos into a real estate video

Select all your photos and click Create Video.

• Style. Choose whether to animate all photos or leave them static. We'll select animated.
• Audio and branding. Pick your background music. Pedra offers multiple genres, each with several tracks — we'll use Cinematic, track six.
• Voiceover. Write the script yourself or let AI generate one from the property details and photos. We'll skip it here, but you can also enable subtitles for viewers watching without sound.
• Watermark. Add a watermark and adjust its position and transparency. We'll leave it disabled.
• Property features. Choose a simple or branded design (we'll pick simple) and add up to four features.

Step 4: Create the empty-to-furnished transition

Select the effect you want — in this example, Magic — then select the furnished image you generated earlier for that same room. Confirm the selection and click Generate Video.
