How to Make a Virtual Tour with ChatGPT or Claude

On their own, ChatGPT and Claude can't make a virtual tour. They can describe a home, but they can't turn your 360° photos into a tour that buyers walk through room by room.

With the Pedra plugin they can. You connect your Pedra account once, drop in your 360° photos and ask: "make a virtual tour from my 360° photos". Pedra builds the tour: the AI names the rooms and places the navigation points between them, and you get a share link and an embed code for your website.

What you need

• A Pedra account. Linking the rooms uses your Pedra credits, the same as in the app. The costs are below.
• ChatGPT or Claude. The Pedra plugin works in both.
• Your 360° photos. One per room, from a 360 camera such as an Insta360 or a Ricoh Theta. A 360° photo is twice as wide as it is tall (2:1). A regular photo or a wide panorama won't work.

Shoot the rooms in the order someone would walk through the home. Pedra links them in that order.

Step 1: Add the Pedra plugin

In ChatGPT, open Plugins in the sidebar, search for Pedra and click Install plugin. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste https://app.pedra.ai/mcp. Either way you sign in to Pedra once, and there's no API key to copy.

Step 2: Get your 360° photos in

360° photos usually live on your phone or your camera's app, so the easiest way is an upload link. Ask:

Give me a link to upload my 360° photos for "Calle Mayor 12".

The assistant sends you a link to a Pedra page where you drop the photos. There's no login, it works on a phone, and the link stays open for 24 hours. You can also send it to your photographer. The page only takes 360° photos and tells you straight away if one isn't. Tell the assistant when you're done.

If the photos are already online, paste their links in the chat, in walking order. If they're already in a Pedra property, skip this step and tell the assistant which property to use.

Step 3: Ask for the tour

That's all it needs. You can add a language if the tour is for foreign buyers:

Pedra then:

• Names the rooms. The AI looks at each photo and calls it "Kitchen", "Living room", "Bedroom 1" and so on, in the tour's language.
• Links the rooms in the order the photos were taken. Upload links sort the photos by file name, which is the order your camera shot them. Each room gets a navigation point to the next one and back.
• Places the navigation points. The AI finds the doorway between two rooms and puts the point there, so buyers click on the door they'd walk through.

It takes about 10 seconds per room. The assistant tells you it's building, and you can keep chatting. When you want it, ask:

Step 4: Share or embed the tour

When it's ready you get two things:

• A share link. Send it to buyers, put it in the listing, or paste it in WhatsApp. It opens in any browser, with no app and no account.
• An embed code. Paste it into your website and the tour plays inside the page. Ask "give me the embed code for my website" if you only need that.

The tour is also saved in the property in Pedra, next to its photos. On the free plan the tour still builds, but its share link only opens for viewers once you're on a paid plan.

Changes you can ask for

Just say what you want changed:

• Rename rooms: "Rename Bedroom 2 to Main bedroom."
• Reorder rooms: "Make the living room the first room of the tour."
• Change the navigation points: white or blue, small, medium or large, and with or without the room name on each point.
• Add rooms: "Add these 2 rooms at the end of the tour." The new rooms are linked after the last one.
• Remove a room: "Take the garage out of the tour." The photo stays in the property.
• Rename the tour: "Call the tour 'Calle Mayor 12, 3 bedrooms'."

To delete a tour, open the property in the Pedra app. The assistant can build and edit tours, but not delete them.

What it costs

• Linking the rooms in order: 3 credits, or one credit for every 3 rooms if that's more. 8 rooms is 3 credits, 12 rooms is 4, 15 rooms is 5.
• Adding rooms later: the same rule, counted on the new rooms.
• Room names, renaming, reordering and restyling: free.
• A build that fails: nothing.

Frequently asked questions

Can ChatGPT make a virtual tour?

Not on its own. ChatGPT can't turn 360° photos into a tour you can walk through. With the Pedra plugin installed, it can: you ask in the chat and Pedra builds the tour, names the rooms and places the navigation points between them.

Can Claude make a virtual tour?

Claude doesn't build virtual tours on its own. With the Pedra connector, Claude can make a 360° virtual tour from your photos and give you a share link and an embed code for your website.

What photos do I need?

360° photos from a 360 camera, such as an Insta360 or a Ricoh Theta, one per room. A 360° photo is twice as wide as it is tall (2:1). A regular photo or a wide panorama isn't a 360° photo, and Pedra tells you which one it couldn't use.
